About EAS

EAS Asia opened its doors in Singapore in August 2007, bringing together specialists with more than 20 years’ experience in providing expert regulatory advice for companies in the region. It is a branch of EAS Europe – a consultancy with 15 years’ experience in providing expert and comprehensive approaches to solving regulatory issues in food and nutrition policy.

Regulation is one of the most important factors in determining the future success of products on the market. Not only does it influence the possible formulations of functional foods and health supplements, it also determines the innovative potential of the total food and health sector.

With trade across the world continuing to increase, governments are also focussing their attention on regulatory frameworks in other regions to ensure as much similarity as possible.  In SE Asia, this has led to action to harmonise legislation across the region.  Ensuring understanding of the current national, regional and international regulations and their future direction, as well as building company strategies to benefit from this new environment are central to the role of EAS Asia.

EAS advisors work with bodies across the world such as the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), Codex Alimentarius and the World Health Organisation (WHO), to deliver up-to-date information, expert advice and solutions in the changing international marketplace.
